Updated on December 20, 2020

As mentioned before, we are continuously monitoring the Covid-19 situation and following the advice being provided by the government.

Back in March, we have been supporting national efforts to flatten the curve and halt the spread of Covid-19 in London. Taking the advice from the government and the wellbeing of our clients and our organisers into consideration, we took the difficult decision, on March 18th, to only deliver virtual services.

Following updated advice issued by the government on May 11, 2020, on "working safely during COVID-19 in other people’s homes", we have decided to adapt our working methods and to re-open our in-home services, taking the appropriate safety measures:

  • Increasing the frequency of handwashing and surface cleaning wherever we are working

  • Keeping people 2m apart wherever possible

  • Using back-to-back or side-to-side working (rather than face-to-face) whenever possible

  • Reducing the number of people each organiser has contact with by using ‘fixed teams or partnering’ (so each organiser works with only a few others)

  • No work should be carried out in a household which is isolating because one or more family members has symptoms, where an individual has been advised to shield or where an individual is clinically vulnerable

  • All organisers are encouraged to be travelling to sites alone using their own transport

  • We will be communicating with households prior to any visit to discuss how our work will be carried out to minimise all risk for all parties

  • All our organisers will be working with disposable gloves and face masks, which we will be providing, in addition to antibacterial wipes which will be used to clean every surface and every cupboard handle we might be manipulating.

Following the announcement of new tier measures from December 19, 2020, new guidances have been published by the government. These guidelines confirm that given all sanitary measures described above, it is still safe for Homefulness to work in our clients' homes.

If during this lockdown you could feel the impact of clutter on your daily life, rest assure that we are here to help and that we are taking all necessary steps to be able to safely organise your homes.

We hope that you are all safe and well, and we are looking forward to working with you while respecting social distancing measures.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation in applying all these safety measures, for your wellbeing and the one of our organisers.
